Abu Dhabi: Participants at this year’s edition of the Tawdheef Recruitment Fair in the Capital are seeking to employ “high-performing” nationals.

The three-day career exhibition for Emiratis was inaugurated on Monday by Shaikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, UAE Minister of Youth, Culture and Development. It is currently being held at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre.

“Through our participation in the Tawdheef Recruitment Fair, we aim to strengthen the employment of high-performing UAE nationals,” said Ibrahim Nassir, chief human capital and administration officer of du.

“Since its founding, du has remained committed to the Emiratisation vision of the UAE. Our mission is to provide UAE nationals with limitless opportunities to deepen their expertise and develop their full potential.”

At the fair, du hopes to meet experienced candidates to fill in 18 vacancies in varying roles.

Senaat, one of the largest industrial holding companies in the UAE, is also looking for Emirati talents to fill almost 350 positions in engineering, finance and accounting, human resources, commercial sales, project management, legal and business and financial analysis for its portfolio of companies that include Emirates Steel, NPCC, Ducab, Agthia, Arkan and Al Foah.

This initiative is part of Senaat’s ambitious Emiratisation strategy and its drive to attract more Emirati talent into the industrial sector.

“We are on a mission to bring more national talent into the UAE industry. This is a sector with huge potential and it is imperative for young Emiratis to recognise the importance of craftsmanship and industry for the prosperity and long-term growth of this nation. We also want students to appreciate how exciting this sector can be, and help them see the limitless opportunities on offer to those willing to venture into our world,” said Engineer Suhail Mubarak bin Athaeeth Al Ameri, CEO of Senaat.
