H.E. Eng. Jamal Salem Al Dhaheri
Jamal Salem Al Dhaheri is the Acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Senaat GHC, a government-owned and one of the largest industrial investment and holding companies in the UAE, employing over thousands of people across the group.
With a career spanning over 20 years in the field of industrial project management, Al Dhaheri has served in key management positions within Abu Dhabi’s largest industrial entities. His journey with Senaat- GHC started at Abu Dhabi Basic Industries Corporation (ADBIC), a wholly owned subsidiary by GHC, as Vice President (VP) of Aluminium, prior to his promotion to Senior Vice President (SVP) of Metals, which was followed by his appointment as CEO. Following ADBIC’s merger with GHC, to form Senaat, Al Dhaheri has then taken on the role of Chief Operating Officer (COO)
Al Dhaheri is currently the Chairman of Arkan and Talex, Vice-Chairman Ducab and serves on the board of Emirates Steel Industries (ESI), Tawazun Precision Industries (TPI), Abu Dhabi Distribution Company (ADDC),
Al Dhaheri has a wealth of experience in engineering, management and industrial project development. Prior to joining ADBIC, he was General Manager at Union Water and Electricity Company (UWEC) where he was instrumental in developing UWEC’s water and electricity infrastructure. Prior to UWEC, Al Dhaheri held the position of Deputy Director, Projects at Abu Dhabi Water and Electricity Company (ADWEA), and was responsible for managing ADWEA’s large scale water and power projects; he has also played a key role in the industry’s restructuring and privatisation. Al Dhaheri also assumed the position of Operation Shift Engineer at Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC), upon first embarking on his career in the industry.
Al Dhaheri holds a B.Sc. in Science Engineering Management from the University of the Pacific in Stockton, California in the United States, as well as an Executive MBA, graduated with Distinction, from Zayed University in Abu Dhabi.
